Our family has been invited to speak with the Philosophers Sunday School class at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church this Sunday. The entire congregation read my devotional a while back concerning the story of how God brought Dwight and I together, and they were completely fascinated with all of the variables that went perfectly together to make it happen. Peter called Jesus the Author of Life (Acts 3:15), and our testimony proves that He truly is the Master Storyteller! How He does it all with such finesse and attention to detail is beyond me. We are forever humbled and grateful to Him for bringing us together. With our family, it has almost become a habit to find ourselves with opportunities we were not looking for–or situations we didn’t know we were looking for, so who knows, maybe this speaking engagement will be the start of something new for the MacPherson Clan. He is setting the course of our lives, and it is all in His hands. Jesus take the wheel, Carrie Underwood? Seriously? If He was driving the whole time you probably would have saved yourself some heartache. The problems come when we try to take the wheel from Him!

So, to ensure that this presentation will have some semblance of sane speech, Dwight and I are prayerfully writing our notes on 3″ x 5″ index cards. There has to be some sort of order to this or it will be a free for all. But you know how it is when you are sharing what God has done for you with others–you get so passionate that you want to keep going on (especially Dwight). But don’t worry, with prayer, the Holy Spirit’s guidance, and some great notes, we’ll make sure it all points back to the Author of Life!
